In case anyone finds them useful:
I've rebuilt the openssh-3.4 source RPM for Redhat 6.2.
I've disabled the stuff for gnome/X11, but for a purely server environment
I think these will work quite nicely.
The modified openssh.spec file, plus the RPMS, are available at
http://www.wibble.to/openssh
This is the first time I've done this sort of thing (and it was for an
upgrade) but if anyone finds them useful, please let me know.
If you don't find them useful, but can work out why (or you think it needs
another RPM), you can also let me know,
Thomas
