What was the internet problem under Linux? I fixed mine by setting up
pdnsd and having "nameserver 127.0.0.1" in /etc/resolv.conf.
If you at least get ping to the nameservers of your ISP, that should
work (I had almost given up hope, when I thought of using a caching DNS
server).
