Quite an interesting thread. Here in the sunny R of S.A. quite a few ppl have
been taken by this scam. Greed seems to cloud the mind. The object of these
guys is to get you to transfer funds to their accounts to clear some
"administrative"
hurdles to get the great pie in the sky released to your bank account. It
inevitably
ends with you flying to Nigeria with a suitcase full of dollars, no other
currency, please,
where you promptly get arrested by the "authorities", your money gets
confiscated,
you get locked up for a few days until somebody "rescues" you and get you out
of the
country for your last few bob.
I have heard of a South American construction tychoon who lost US$987 in this
manner.
