Hi there

Anything with a OV511 chipset is supported, and very cheap even if the
frame rate is not the best in the world

Subject: [ILUG] Cheap USB camera with Linux support

(I've done a good bit of googling here, but there is
a huge amount of stuff to choose from...)

I'm looking for a digital camera. I don't want to
spend a fortune (under 200 euro would be nice).

What am I going to miss out on by not buying one of
the more expensive ones? The images will be mainly
for putting on web pages and printing with inkjet
printers. Would the resolution of a cheapo camera be
sufficient?

USB would be preferable to compact flash (should be
easier to use for my wife - won't need to remember
to umount/"stop"/whatever any compact flash devices,
for example).

Any recommendations?

Later,
Kenn
