I've done it, but, without wanting to overstate things at all, it's
absolutely unbelievably insanely difficult to do.
Maybe you could try StarOffice 6? Its font adding thing works for truetype
fonts, much to my relief.

You *can* just enter any font that's available to X into the fontface text
box in StarWriter 5.2 - it's getting them added to the pulldown list
that's tricky. Will they print properly using this hack? I don't know.
