I found the betas of Win4Lin impressive for regular Win32 apps, even on
a P133 with a mere 32 megs of memory. It ran better than the exact same
model computer next to it, which had Win95 installed. I didn't have
many programs to try out on those systems (I was bored and had a demo
handy ;), but I got Word running.
If you're prepared to use whatever kernel revision they've got patches
for, go for it. If you need to run more operating systems, more memory
and VMWare is better.
