Be careful about your terminology. "Novell printing" (and "NetWare
printing") is ambiguous. NetWare is a multiprotocol server; printing
may be over any of various protocol stacks.
Usually, people mean printing using NCP (NetWare core protocol) over SPX.
But NCP was increasingly abstracted from IPX/SPX over successive NetWare
versions, and with NetWare 5.x is fully modular (and thus no longer
IPX/SPX-dependent).
Some NetWare servers -- even 3.x/4.x ones -- also ran lpr services over
TCP/IP. Not to mention Apple-style printing using AppleTalk packets.
Consult your NetWare admin, as to what protocols the NetWare queue
answers to.
