If encrypt passwords = yes and he is in the smbpasswd file then no need
for the EnablePlainTextPassword jobby ... my guess is either no user in
/etc/samba/smbpasswd (or wherever) or corrupt one of the above..
smbpasswd -a solves the first
vi the second.
