We have Blade 1000 dual US III 900MHz and it must be said they're very
average for FP stuff.  The spec.org stuff all says the same.

Fair enough, any 8-way box would be great for a really well parallellized
code (a rarity in itself) but the individual cpus really are nothing to
write home about and for the money you'd be far better off looking towards
an alpha or even an Itanium if you want many good cpus.
