Hi All,
I have setup a Linux/Nis enviroment for testing.
The homedirs are accessed by an NFS-mount to /home/nis/<username> on the
server.
Using the homedir by the NIS-User works fine so far.
As root on the NFS/NIS - server I habe created am /home/nis/test - directory
and chown'd it to user/group of the NIS-user who is owner of
/home/nis/<username>
'ls' as root nos shoes the ownerships I have expected - a cd to /home/nis
from the
client's side shows the owner of the dir is still root and I am also not
able to
access this directory.
So what am I doing wrong ???
Thank for helping, Marcus
