I got a call from an unnamed extra-terrestrial ISP company called
Educom(oops!)
"Hi there...I believe you are a current user of ISDN and live in a very
remote area"
(I stiffled the giggle and said 'nope & nope' and asked who it was)
"This is 'unamed' (seeabove ;) ) and we are calling you because you
expressed interest in our Satellite Internet service"
(Did I now?)
"Can I e-mail you some product information?"
(For the want of something in my inbox, I said why not..."
"can I have your email address?"
(QUE spammail addie..."Yes...its j..a...m...")
"Actually sir, if you could just check our website at www.blah.ie."
*CLICK*
......Bemused I went back to my parallel universe......
Kinda sums up all attempts of providing a decent internet service in Ireland
really.
Roads are a very good indication/reflection of Government efficency I
believe...
