[ILUG] Hardware Question

[ILUG] Hardware Question

According to Philip Trickett:
> PowerBook G3

Nice enough machines. Check one of the LinuxPPC variants if you want to run
Linux on it, but it's really quite nice as a MacOS machine. Edict computers
in Fumbally Court (down the hill from Christchurch) are the only Apple
repair company I've dealt with; service was surly and uncommunicative, but
they did eventually fix the machine. The biggest problem with G3 laptop
repairs used be availability of parts, particularly the base-to-screen
connector which is generally the first thing to go. Try hooking up an
external monitor to your G3 to see if that's the problem.

Cheers,
Waider.
