The Gimp is Omniscient. All hail the Gimp. Ohmmmmmm...
Why not learn how to use the Gimp properly, and then write an article
telling us how to do it? I know the Gimp can do lines.
Alternately you could draw the image by hand and scan it in... :)
The Gimp is meant for bitmapped images/pictures. If you want to do Visio
like diagrams, try Dia. (Functionality is still somewhat limited, but it
does most basic tasks more than adequately.)
