>Anyone = me looking for 1 notebook with a US keyboard
>Anyone = Ford looking for 30000 desktops with Linux installed
ah, now logically as a company which would you prefer as a customer ? no,
sorry what I meant to say was your call is important to us and will be dealt
with in rotation, please hold the line.
>Limerick assembles notebooks for all of Europe, no ? Given that, I was kind
>of surpirsed that in the midst of all those keyboard configurations, they
>couldn't find a U.S. one.
But Dell Limerick don't EVER manufacture for US ...
>Bu then, if I order in Ireland, would they even
>supply me with, say, a French keyboard ?
Well if you ordered a French OS, yes. If not then it might be difficult.
>Now we're surely talking semantics here ?
true
>And I'm a little curious here - if Dell is installing my OS F.O.C. then
what
>exactly am I paying 80 Euro for if I choose RH without CD or documentation
?
>Can't be installation - that's free. Can't be media - you get none.
You're paying for the operating system itself which curiously Redhat don't
see fit to give Dell for free. I'm not sure exactly how that bit works but
basically if you order any operating system you may not be charged for the
installation of same but you will be charged for the software. But I see
your point.
>> just a few, and no decimal place please. (wow EUR200, what colour is it
?)
>A rather fetching yellow - I think it's nice, but that may have more to do
>with the number than the color :-)
Sweet, I wonder if I'll ever save up that much money in one place. Imagine
the amount of moon pie and penny wurstles you could buy with that kinda
scratch !
