After sending the last message about the cheap modems at PC World, I had a
quick google (Remember to google BEFORE posting) and a check at linmodem.org
pointed me directly to an Intel HaM driver, which is provided by Intel
themselves! Unfortunately, it's only for kernels 2.2.12 to 2.2.18 and
specifcally states it's NOT compatible iwth 2.4 kernels, but it's a start!
For those who missed or deleted the last message, PC World had these Intel
HaM modems for 22 Euro's each in OEM boxes! If your not running 2.4 yet, this
seems to be the cheapest? modems I've seen in Ireland for many months now.
