[ILUG] Dell Poweredge - best distro

[ILUG] Dell Poweredge - best distro

Hi Anton

Well - it's main uses would be for running CVS, mysql and apache
(serving a couple of low usage websites and some UI's for internallly
developed software) - all of which I would install from source rather
than using RPM's. I use slackware and debian exclusively at home, which
I like - but as you say, I would rather stay away from these because I
find them a bit fiddly and they WILL lead to problems when other people
want to support it. I hope to be staying with the company until I
retire but I don't want to be spending all that time supporting boxes...

Fergal.
