SuSE (support your loacl distribution ! - for a kind of continental value of
local) works well for me on all sorts of hardware and SuSE 8.0 has just been
released with kernel 2.4.18, KDE3, Mozilla 0.98 and more, much more . . .
But really asking about best distributions here - you really must have
nothing to do all day :-)
