[ILUG] Conclusion - Wanted: The Magic Bullet

[ILUG] Conclusion - Wanted: The Magic Bullet

Many thanks to all who participated in the discussion or emailed me in
 private.

I am now running the live-eval version of SuSE 8.0 Pro, and everything
works out of the box (except for the winmodem; as Jan Stifter's driver
doesn't seem to support my chip set yet, I'll probably buy a USB modem).
Will probably go and buy the real thing. X runs in 1024x768x16bpp, with
 mouse :)

This was the first time ever I installed SuSE, and I'm quite impressed.
It easily beats the pants off RedHat, and Mandrake too (the latter looks
really nice, installer and everything, but I have heard that it's very
non-standard in how it stores configuration settings).
