Given the following output of the ifconfig, can anyone tell me if I want to get the total number of packets do I add the TX and RX figures. I've looked all over and can't find the answer for this one.
 eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:E0:18:90:1B:56
          inet addr:208.164.186.2 Bcast:208.164.186.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:1295 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:1163 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          Interrupt:11 Base address:0xa800

Cheers.
