[ILUG] CVS pserver problem

[ILUG] CVS pserver problem

Fergal Moran fergal.moran at wasptech.com

I have a strange one here with our cvs server (1.11.1p1) on RH7.2 - it
works fine locally - but it has suddenly stopped working when I try to
use pserver I get

server <server-ip? rejected access to /home/CVS_ROOT for user <user>

If I alter /etc/xinetd.d/cvs so that it logs on as root:root rather than
cvs:users it works dandy. I have checked and cvs:users has rwx access
to /home/CVS_ROOT and read access to /home - also the --allow-root line
in xinetd.d/cvs is correctly set.

What else should I be checking?

Fergal..
