Checking with konqueror 2.2.2 (Debian woody) - doesn't support lowsrc
AFAICS.

I couldn't find any reasons why it wasn't supported any more, but
I can say that mozilla's reasons for not supporting it included that it's not
actually part of the HTML4 spec.

On konqueror's side, a brief mention that it is not supported (yet) in
http://lists.kde.org/?l=kfm-devel&m=98131932200295&w=2
(posted to kfm-devel last February to list pre-HTML4 features not
supported).
I suspect they just never considered it high enough priority for anybody
to work on it. Nobody else on that mailing list seems to have ever
mentioned the issue!
