knode has got very little in common with mutt but it is a really good
newsreader
(for some). If you like kmail you will like it ... if not ... you wont.

Subject: [ILUG] newsgroups

Hi all,

I've never really used newsgroups extensively. Only a few brief
flirtations with netscape news which was not a particularly positive
experience and a little use of groups.google.com.

As a relative novice in this then can someone recommend a news client and
perhaps a setup/use howto to get me going. Preferably it should match with
mutt in it's interface, key-bindings, colouring etc.

Thanks

Gavin
