I've seen trojaned ps's before, but never a trojaned crond or whatever
it is.
A good start for checking these things would be some of the forensics
stuff linked off porcupine.org, and maybe chkrootkit.org, and
possibly (if you've got a lot of free time!) a search around the
www.honeynet.org site!
