Ah thank god someone answered :)
I am currently using sendmail, and its sends allright -if I mail from the
server! But when I use my clients, it refuses the connection :(
I've setup sendmail myself but using precompiled rpms from the box, the same
box has my NFS shares on it too and dial up via ippp0. [The sendmail DS
entry points to mail.indigo.ie]
[So it must be iptables blocking access, well I suspect so -> as I say, I'm
no firewall expert.]
Need mo info?

Real can be forced to do everything over http, through a proxy server...
though do take a look at the squid access logs every once in a while. It
has a habit of phoning home. I just pointed the DNS entries for their
servers to 127.0.0.1. AIM works over http-proxy as well.

Which SMTP server? Have you set it up yet, or is it working out of the
box?
