And if you plug a parallel printer cable into one you can get very interesting
pyrotechnics - saw this done once - the smoke was mighty, and a diode (IN 18
maybe ? - something quite clunky anyway) was completely incerated.
Interestingly enough, when the diode was replaced and the smut cleaned off
teh SCSI card it worked fine :-)
