HP go into the topic of paper and inks, specifically how long they last, at some length for their plotters, because drawings are typically archived in their printed form.
They appear to have a building somewhere with lots of drawings stuck to the inside of windows (the glass type, in case I am accused of driving this further OT) so that they can measure how colour-fast the plots are.

A-and use an inkjet printer rather than a laser printer. Toner flakes off in 10-15 years as far as I know.
