Indeed. From the ssh manpage:
3des (triple-des) is an encrypt-decrypt-encrypt triple with
three different keys.
Which makes it secure, but damn slow for scp. It's fine for ssh term
sessions, unless you've got a weedy box. Blowfish, otoh, is damn fast,
and supposed to be very secure too.
