My Dad's Opel Omega does exactly the same thing. There's a "black box"
computer inside which even the registered Opel guys seem to be clueless
about. It apparently controls automatic clutch.
Opel dealer's solution (after 18 months denying the problem was there)
decided to replace the "black box". Sort of like saying "If we give you a
new engine, you're unlikely to see that specific engine problem again."
Oh yeah, I'm considering introducing my parents to linux.
