Hi,
I need to (temporarily) copy all mail for a specific user's account to
another account, as well as leaving the original email in the original
account.
(Machine packed up, and temporarily using another machine, so want all email
delivered to another pop account, as well as leaving it in the original
account so that when original machine is back up, all email in the meantime
will be available under the original pop account)
Problem:
Several aliases are in use:
e.g.
in my /etc/mail/aliases file I would have:
harry: harrypotter
h.potter: harrypotter
harry.potter: harrypotter
hpotter: harrypotter
I need all these aliases (including the account name harrypotter) copied to a
temporary account (say harrypotter2), as well as the harrpotter account.
If I add , harrypotter2 onto each line in the aliases file it will do those
aliases ok, but what about the original 'harrypotter' account ?
What am I missing ? If I use a .forward file, will it make a copy, or move
the original email ?
Thanks,
Declan
