Hello,
I have been using ACPI on several laptops but especially a Sony Vaio
GR214MP on several Linux distributions (Debian, Gentoo, Mandrake,
Redhat, etc ...) and ACPI gives some quite different results depending
on the release.
It seems that they keep changing stuff all the time to make sure that it
will break something ;) More seriously though, they broke the battery
indicator not a long time ago (september release) and switching to
20021002 fixed it (which is a pre kernel btw).
It would be worth asking the creator of the applet as i'm not sure the
ACPI list will be user friendly about it.
