If they're not in /usr/doc/HOWTO/ or /usr/share/doc/HOWTO/ (which
is where they usually get installed), you can access them online
or download them at www.linuxdoc.org along with lots of other
goodies.
If you still have the install CDs for your distribution, it might
be worth having a look to see if they're on there and save you
the trouble (as well as providing you with docs about how to get
a network connection up & going locally if you don't have any
internet access and those are the docs you're looking for :)
