No just using hdparm manually, will leave the IDE DMA kernel patch till
later, but am curious to see if the rip speed matches (or betters)
windows rippers, though there is still the limiting factor of how fast
your mp3 encoder (bladeenc) does it's job, the rip speeds you get on
windows say 8.x to 12.x with WMedia is the speed of ripping and encoding
into .wma format at once, but if I 'm unsing grip it matters little if
my rip speed is 8.x when my encode speed is 1.4 though this improves
once ripping is finished?!
Anybody heard of any ripper/encoders in 1 ?
Mind you if you've used CDex on windows it's a great encoder (not a
ripper), but it's slow as pig sh*t!
