I'd start by looking at the logs ( /var/log/up2date* ) and see what exactly
up2date
changed in your system.
An older dependancy may be required by mozilla that up2date may have
upgraded.
(did you do any tarball installations recently?)
Using rpm, query the dependancies on mozilla you are running and compare
that with what
you have installed.
