I thought it was going to be easy. But it never is.
I'm trying to syslog messages to another server. The other server is
started -r, firewall is opened. The line:
*.info;kernel.* @192.168.23.1
is in my syslog.conf, and syslog restarted.
However, when I run:
logger -p crit -t kernel arse
Nothing udp leaves the box on port 514. Is there something else I need to
do to get this poxy machine to log remotely ?
