[ILUG] Possible dead horse flogging: AIB & O-Card

[ILUG] Possible dead horse flogging: AIB & O-Card

Hello all,

been search the archives and noticed some discussion about the AIB
24-hour banking O-Card software. Specifically, some people on this list
were looking into trying to get it working with Wine.

Did anyone get anywhere with that?

I've been doing a little playing myself & installed the program in my
'fake windows' wine, but haven't managed to get beyond an error dialog
which states: "Sorry, a problem has occurred that cannot be handled fully
and the application must now quit. (Internal problem is "%1".)" (So,
useful then..) The message dialog has "orbiscom:" in the title (my guess
being the message comes from somewhere in the orbiscom.dll but I've not
confirmed yet) rather than being an unhandled exception in Wine.

Any point in persuing this? Has it long been determined that we are going
to have to wait in vein for a non-windows version of the s/w?
