It is rather interesting that Joe soaps, get stuck through such a mill trying 
to protect themselves, while the likes of the US, UK, Canadian(?), Austrilian 
and NZ governments can run something like Echelon, with the public largely 
oblivious to it's existence.

To be honest, it's stuff like that... and all those nuclear weapons the 
Russians, Americans and Chinese have, that comes between me and sleep, not some 
random(guy), in an interweb cafe, trawling through his squid logs... but, 
that's just me.

Echelon was apparently used by the British to get around inconvienent laws 
about MI* spying on the Royal family, it may have been illegal for MI* to do 
it, but, it *was technically* kosher for Echelon to do it, so the British put 
int the request.
