if you are using DRI of late, it has been broken on and off, more off than
on, either grab a snapshot from the freedesktop site or update CVS again,
both the Mesa and DRI tress from freedesktop..

I use Radeon M7s for an embedded project and track the driver closely, I
also am maintainer for i810 and part-time for mach64....

Also if you using Fedora make sure you remove the tls versions of libGL
...
