Subject: [ILUG] Watch for new files ?

Hi,
Is there an easy way to watch a specific directory for the creation of new
files, and then run some script to report on these new files ?

The idea is to watch an nfs mounted directory for spoolfiles, and then if
they
match certain criteria (if they contain specific strings) take them and make
pdfs, and email them to the creator or a specific address.

Also, I'm using a2ps to make ps and then pdfs form ascii files - Is there
some
way to add in a background image (company logo) to the pdf ?

Preferably something 'easy' that my perpetual newbieness can cope with !

Thanks,
Declan
