[ILUG] UTV aDSL config change

[ILUG] UTV aDSL config change

Joe Fitzsimons joefitz at netsoc.ucd.ie
Fri Apr 9 14:10:02 IST 2004

Hi,

Previously eircom used to tunnel all RADSL customers for netsource/iol/utv
etc, through their bas, to the relevant company's BAS. Thats why you see
the sucessful logon to eircom's Summerhill bas. From the looks of it you
are now connecting to UTV directly. There have been changes to the
packages latley in most of the companies, so I wouldn't be suprised if the
change corresponded with a change in your contention ratio. The higher end
packages generally connect directly to the ISPs BAS, bypassing Eircom.

Hope this is useful,
Joe
