hi,
I was checking the colleges DNS server and I just ran nmap to see what
it was running. I really never came across windows running a DNS server
before so i was curious as to how secure this would be and is it common
practise the run such a service on windows. I know bind Doesn't have a
great track record itself. anyway the server in question is ns.wit.ie
and has 14 open ports including 445,21,80 etc.
as it is a namesever I don't see the need to be "covert" about saying
this on a public list.
