[ILUG] 200gb drive Help needed Sorted Thanks

Got my HD added & working.

On advice I created 4 partitions app. 50gb.
Using the following which was new to me.

as root:
cd etc

# fdisk /dev/hdb

Command (m for help): n
         Command action
            e   extended
            p   primary partition (1-4)

went for a P  x4 times (too much coffee)

then mkdir x4 to have mount points

locate fstab (checking)

gedit fstab saved as *.tmp
cp original as old

mount /dev/hdb1  /files1 x4 again.

I have learned something on this exercise.

I just hope I wrote down in the correct seq.
