[ILUG] Laptop Recommendation?

[ILUG] Laptop Recommendation?

I would keep away from the Sony. I've gone through a few over the years
with the high point being the r600hek. However, I got a new 505 (can't
remember exact model) last year and had to have it replaced three times
with a dodgy touchpad. Each time I had a fight with Sony to get them to
replace it ('works fine for me'). Finally returned it in disgust and
switched to IBM (x31). I find them really solid and with good linux
support (apart from the centrino wireless card which I see Intel has
just released the drivers for).
