  | I'm not actually a passionate supporter of Windows.
  | In fact I seem to be the only person in the world
  | who finds it more difficult to use than Linux.

Windross-is-difficult is both trivial and the norm.
I find Windross IMPOSSIBLE to use.
NOTHING behaves in a sensible fashion.

except for the damage it would do the the whales
offshore, I would have no objection if the world's
entire nuclear weapons arsenal were disposed of on
Redmond. explosively. (one very encouraging thing
about N.Korea maybe having a few warheads and some
missiles is Redmond is within range.)

incidentally, my solution to the X11 drag-and-paste
confusion is simple: "drag, and middle button to
paste.“ end of story. that's all I do. I don't
worry about Primary, Secondary, or Clipboard; all
I do is drag, and middle-button paste. this has
 worked fine for >10 years, X11v4, v5, v6, vtwm,
KDE, Gnome, Enlightenment, etc, etc. simple.

cheers!
