Peats and the Sony Shop are not all the same company. I found this out
a couple of years ago when I attempted to buy a Hi-Fi in the South
William St. Branch of the Sony Shop.
In I walked with a handful of cash wanting to buy some new hifi kit.
The muppet behind the counter didn't as much as lift his head to let me
know he'd be with me as soon as he got off the phone.
So, I left and dropped them a mail to show how they'd just lost a sale.
Turns out that some branches were run by the Hi-Fi Corner (a far
superior outlet) and others were owned by Peats.
for what it's worth - Sony Centre in Ballsbridge is still owned by the
guys who ran Hi-Fi corner.
In an attempt to bring this back on topic - these lot know their hifi,
but I cannot say how well they are going to know their laptops.
Cheers,
Dermot.
