from what i've read i agree.  nearly all the cross platform gui questions
on the MinGW32 list have been about wxwindows.  and yes, ms threatened
to sue them, so they are now wxwidgets.

it's a very stable with a good track record behind it.  it is in c++ if
that's an issue however.
