Long sigs aren't nice, but most people don't have them. Usually when 
someone is asked nicely,
they can find a way around it (webmail, personal email through 
eircom.net, whatever). If some
people can't manage that, then they're welcome to either not post or 
post with the understanding that
they may be annoying some people.

Personally, I don't see a solution that can be picked that won't cause 
someone to get upset.. oh look,
compromise.. nasty word that :)
