The Right Honorable Sir Kevin Lyda is once again honoring Dublin West with his
presence and that can mean only one thing (apart from nervousness in the
local sheep) - there will be a LEWD POTD on Monday evening
(April 26 2004) in the Lord Lucan pub which is on the Newcastle Road in
Lucan.
Kickoff will be about 21:00 or thereabouts. We used to say 20:00 but as nobody
ever turned up until 21:00, we decided to cut out the middleman.
Also, for those for mightn't know, LEWD is nothing more interesting than
Linux Enthusiasts West Dublin, an ad hoc grouping of ILUG members which
meets from time to time somewhere in West Dublin, though we welcome townies
too.
Regulars and newbies are more than welcome - there will be a Tux presence so
that newbies know who we are.
This will be the first LEWD meeting in a smoke free pub so if that was your
reason for not coming before, why not join us this time?
Directions to pub - turn left off N4 leaving Dublin, signposted for Newcastle
(first traffic lights after the M50 roundabout). Carry on through two
roundabouts, pub is in a little shopping centre on the left. If you end up
with fields on both sides of the road, you've gone too far.
