That gave me a laugh at myself: I really picked the wrong example :)
While it appears that some newspapers may not "do" privacy (and before I get sued, I do not imply that the Irish Times is in that camp), you cannot decide not to "do" privacy (or respect copyright), at least in Ireland :)
