We recently had a DSL blackout. Apparently everyone in my area
(Monaghan) was affected. Yet, when I called up to report the fault, I
still had to go through half an hour of "okay, now turn the modem off.
okay, now turn it on. hmm... try this. try that. hmm..." before it was
passed on, and I was told I'd just have to wait for a reply.
That was last week. The DSL came back up at about 11pm that day (went at
about 3pm), but so far I haven't heard a single explanation or mention
of what happened.
