I second that, got a couple of Linux users out there who are not very
skilled, they all went for SuSE on their laptops and have been using
it without bothering me.

Ah, there we go, the Gentoo troll again. There is much more than the
mythical speed increase (although this is noticeable on some
applications). Like FreeBSD, you chose what you want on your system,
with the functionalities you want, full stop, there is no other distro
which will allow you to fine tune your sources like this (before going
on a rant, notice i used the word sources). Gentoo is not only a
distro for speed freaks, there's much more than meets the eye.
